Happy New Year

Well, its a relief to have 2020 over although I don’t believe you should ever wish your life away…. Let’s hope that 2021 will be a year when we can start to rebuild our lives and try to get back to some kind of normality. I have been trying to get things organised both in the shop and on the website. Considering the size of my shop I’m quite amazed, while trying to catalogue things for the website, just how much stock I have. I have been putting pattern books up, and am aware that I need to put more photos of content onto the site, but am concentrating on the nitty gritty of getting it out there so that everyone can see what’s available. I’m still open for click and collect and if you would rather order that way than online, I’m happy to do so or deliver local to those of you in the area as per usual. In terms of stock from abroad, I haven’t ventured into the new world of trade tariffs and import regulations but while lockdown is still going on, I think what I have in stock should carry us for a while. We are expecting our sock wool sale to go on as per usual in January (a mammoth task of photographing and displaying so please bear with me.) and I will endeavour to get it all onsite as quickly as possible.

Well, our celebrations may have been muted this year, but I am sure we all found a way to count our blessings and be grateful for what we have. In some respects, although I know we are all heartily sick of it now, it’s a way to take stock and enjoy a slower pace of life, remembering what is important in our lives. This is where I find knitting helps me, it relaxes me and focuses my mind. I hope it works for you too. Stay safe everyone, be gentle with yourselves and others. xx
