Looking like Spring…..

Well, the vaccination programme is rolling out and the r number is starting to fall, combine this with the change in temperature and we are all beginning to feel that Spring is round the corner and with that, the new life emerging in nature giving us all hope for the future. I have been busy in lockdown with various projects, as I’m sure you all have too. the silver lining is that it does give us time to ourselves and to do those things we have been putting off. Having said, that, it seems to have been a bit of a long haul and I’m looking forward to being able to get out and about a bit more in the near future. Indoor hobbies are alright but you can get sick of the sight of your wallpaper after a while… I’m sure this has partly sparked the DIY frenzy which has been going on, myself included! Ive made some small changes to the shop, managed to put some grid wall up and stuff even more into my tiny space so there is yet more to choose from…. New stock is coming in all the time, from Monday we will have a new range of colours in from West Yorkshire Spinners in Colourlab, their lovely 100% wool and there is a new pattern book to match. All will be revealed…. We are also waiting for some new yarns from Katia in Spain and a few old faithfuls from Rico in Germany. They have had a bit of a long journey and I will be glad to get them on the shelves, I have made the space and they just need to arrive now! We are also going to be stocking some Jamiesons spindrift in the near future for those of you who love fair isle and Im excited to be getting a new spinning wheel for one to one how to spin lessons. This is all dependant on when we can finally open our doors again and let’s hope it won’t be too long now. Take care for now everyone, hope to see you all soon. x
