Petite Knit Sunday - 3821 - Cardommon
Petite Knit Sunday is a beautiful 100% Merino Wool created in collaboration with Sandnes Yarn. It is perfect for Baby Shawls and other delicate knits but can also be used knitted in conjunction with other yarns and is often patterned with Silk Mohair.
Petite Knit Sunday is the thinnest variant of 100% merino wool and is the perfect base yarn: a thin, non-superwash treated yarn that can be knitted with single and double strands. It can also be knitted together with Tynn Silk Mohair.
Merino wool is not only insulating, but also wicks moisture away from the body and retains heat even when moist, thanks to the structure of the fibers. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water before it starts to feel wet.
Our supplier has guaranteed that the wool we buy does not come from sheep that have been subjected to mulesing.
For machine washing, we recommend that all wool garments be washed separately on a wool program, to ensure the gentlest treatment. Due to the unique absorbency of the merino wool, it is important to centrifuge hand-knitted garments well before drying them on a flat surface, preferably on top of a towel. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted wool garments. This creates friction that can cause the garment to felt.
