Summer time… and the living is easy…..

Well, here we are, relative freedom again and the weather, well, its a typical British Summer. It isn’t stopping people from getting out and about though and here at Rainbow Yarns we have met some lovely new customers and welcomed back some old ones too. Although its always nice to be able to visit, its also enjoyable to browse in the comfort of your own home, particularly if its a rainy day. With that in mind, we have added a discount on one of our latest yarns as a little encouragement to try something new. Other than that, the knitting continues, my latest fun project is fingerless gloves using Jawoll magic degrade, our stocks of this are somewhat depleted, its turned out to be very popular, but we should be getting some more in soon. Excellent substitutes are Zauberballs and the 4ply range from Malabrigo. These are available with free glove or sock patterns as you prefer. Tomorrow is going to be another dyeing day, not the best weather for drying but it is still warm and I have a space under cover where I should be able to get some skeins dried in a day or two. I’m thinking that I will concentrate on dyeing some Autumn colours, not wishing to jinx the weather any more than it already is, but I have a yen for some deep reds and caramel browns to add to my grid wall. it never turns out the way I expect so watch this space for how it really comes out!!
