Happy New Year!!
We have said goodbye to the old and welcomed in the New. We have faced some difficulties in the last couple of years and like many of us, I have sought solace in taking the time to create and slow my pace of living down. Knitting is one of my favourite pastimes, I do also like to sew and experiment with different crafts. I have been making some microwave hand warmers and beeswax wraps over the holidays and these will be a new feature in the shop. I am always happy to listen to requirements from customers and there has been some interest in different crafts. Please let me know if you feel there is anything I can stock for you that I don’t presently keep.
On a different note, there have been many price rises lately, like everyone I am fed up with it, however, my wholesalers have passed on some price rises to myself that I can no longer hold back, particularly Blue Faced Leicester wool. This has seen unprecedented rises of over a third. I have, unfortunately, had to pass some of this increase on and you will see those rises on the website. Other wools have remained fairly stable and wherever possible I have kept prices to a minimum.
Bad news over, we can now move forward with the New Year and new knitting projects. I will reopen on the 11th of January (it should have been the 10th but I am sneaking away to see my spinning friends for a day of spinning) and we can have a look at doing some workshops from then on in. It is very dependent on how people feel at this point. I will post any potential workshops on my Rainbow Yarns Facebook page. I do hope that you all enjoyed your Christmas and bringing in the New Year and that the future year brings much peace and happiness to us all. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon. Avril ☺️🙂😃
